Rain slips through your fingers as easily as words blow away in the wind, and yet it has the power to destroy your whole world.

About This Quote

While it may be true that rain slips through your fingers, the fact of the matter is that it can also be used to build yourself up. Let’s say that you’re having a bad day. You feel like giving up. When you get home, you think about what’s bothering you and the things you could be doing.

Then, no matter how much of a downer your day is, you walk into your kitchen and make yourself some tea or coffee. You sit at your kitchen table and relax while you drink your beverage. Suddenly, there is a big storm outside.

The wind is blowing hard and rain is coming down in buckets. But, before you can even worry about the storm, the wind blows again and everything starts to get wet! As your little world turns upside down, it’s like water is flowing through your fingers all over again on the inside of your hands. It seems like nothing good can come out of this weather; but then, before you know it, gorgeous spring flowers are blooming from all over the place! The flowers are beautiful and they make everything look perfect again.

Then, as if by magic, a rainbow appears overhead and the sun comes out!
